- No. 603 - Begonia (B. 'Macintyre's "daedalea'" X B. aridicaulis) 'Tomol' B. 'Tomol' (which means canoe in Chumash language) was developed in 1975 by Rudolf Ziesenhenne (address above), first bloomed in 1977, and will be distributed in 1978. The rhizomatous plant has dark, green black leaves, 8 nerves light green, uneven heart shaped with angular outline; 8 x 5 cm (3 x 2"); margin angular, nerve tips large toothed; texture thin; petioles green, 6"; stipules long triangular, recurved, green. Flowers white, 2 male, 2 female petals, arranged on 6" stem in cyme; blooms May-July. Registered July 22, 1977.
