- No. 256 - Begonia. ('Kalla king' x red-flowering semperflorens cultorum) 'Gee-Gee' - B. 'Gee-Gee' was developed by Chester F. Nave, 2555 West Ave. 134, San Leandro, Calif. 94577 and is available through him. Developed in 1965, it first bloomed and was first distributed in 1966; was listed in The Begonian seed fund in 1967. A large semperflorens, it has leaves 4" x 6", smooth margin, of heavy texture; green in shade, red in sun. Blooms April to November under glass, turkey red, 2½" x 1 ½", in long-lasting clusters. Is said to be extra fine as a pot-grown plant. Registered May 1, 1969.
