Description
Die Gartenwelt, Jahr. 7, (1902-1903) B. Corbeille de feu: Nothing new! Yes, but an old acquaintance for some but the figure below and a few lines of the recommendation is well deserved, especially this begonia. Certainly, in the perfect location you can use more graceful varieties, but when conditions are not ideal ‘Corbeille de feu’ can be beautiful, with nourishment. As such a grateful bloomer, effective both on flower beds outdoors and as a winter bloomer in the house, I have come to know 'Corbeille de feu'. It is about 20-30 cm high; the flowers are coral red and stand in clusters. Propagation, since it does not produce seed, must be done as early as possible in the spring through cuttings. - Crusius.
