- Description
- Moore Seed Company, Moore Seed Company's seed buyers guide for 1916. Philadelphia, Pa. http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/bibliography/113407 BEGONIA GRACILIS ‘White Pearl ‘ The pure snowy white blooms of this new variety measure quite 2½ by 1 inch across and appear in large loose clusters well above the bright, pale green foliage, forming a beautiful contrast with it. In habit, size and freedom of bloom, White Pearl closely resembles the beautiful Gracilis Magnifica a recent introduction of ours and one which has already gained a great popularity everywhere. A white-blooming Begonia has hitherto been lacking In the Gracilis section, our new variety will therefore doubtless prove very valuable for all kinds of decorative work. Begonia gracilis White Pearl has besides the advantage of coming true from seed, and we feel confident that it will establish itself as a valuable variety for every florist. Pkt. 50c., Trade pkt. $1,00.
