- Description
- The Garden v. 69 1906 TUBEROUS BEGONIA ALICE. At the recent Temple Show Messrs. Blackmore and Langdon, Twerton Nurseries, Bath, exhibited some new and very beautiful varieties of tuberous Begonias, three of which obtained an award of merit. Begonia Alice, shown in the accompanying illustration, is a double flower of perfect form and lovely coloring, fawn, with a well-defined margin of rose. The edges of the petals are crinkled, thus adding to the attractiveness of the flower. This variety, Mrs. J. B. Blackmore (salmon-rose), and Millicent (clear pale salmon) are three of the finest double varieties we have seen.
