- Endemic to Subis limestone, including the Niah Great Cave, where it is locally abundant on the sheltered overhangs or rocks at the cave mouth. It is restricted to limestone rocks.

- Description
- Clings to rocks by its fine roots; This is a conspicuous begonia with large shiny leaves, commonly bearing a cluster of delicate, pale pink male flowers. It is easily observed on limestone outcrops along the Plank Walk to the Niah Great Cave and around the cave mouth. It takes its name from kachak, the Malay word meaning handsome. Creeping herb or low root climber, roots fibrous, produced at the nodes in contact with the substrate.
