Plant

Description
Belgique Horticole, t.18 (1868) B. Clarkei: This is a temperate greenhouse plant: it has a ramifying stem, ample and opaque foliage; the flowers are tall and dark pink. It is probably from parts warmer than Veitch's Begonia, to which it resembles in terms of flowers. Dr. Hooker dedicated it to Major Clarke, who had received it a few years ago from Mr. Henderson, as coming from Peru.
